Message I am planning on pulling my motor when I get back from deployment as it has extremely low compression right now. I am going to pull it in my garage and then send it from CA to NC (round trip). My first question is has anybody done this and if so, how much did it cost to ship the whole motor? Second, what parts should I replace while I am in there. I am on a fairly stringent budget with a few exceptions. I would like to put on some JWT Sport 500's as well as upgrade the fuel system to the 300 Degree rail with new style injectors (which means upgrading to a '95 EFI harness).

My question is primarily aimed at OEM part replacements. I just recently did my 120k kit about 2,000 miles ago so I would love to save some money and reuse some of those parts if possible. I was told I should definitely get new lifters. Is this highly recommended or should mine be okay with about 99,000 miles on them? Any help in this area by the experienced would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to add it all up now and get a rough price in my head.

Thanks!

Never Play Leapfrog With A Unicorn!!!

Do yourself a favor and just worry about your own car. I don't see what everyone is so worried about anyway. If someone else wants to perform a modification that you believe will destroy the value, cheapen the Z32 or whatever you can't sit on your hands about, wouldn't that make your tastefully-modified, white bread Z32 more rare and valuable? -- BradZ (FL) on December 23, 2007 at 12:19 PM
